REQ12156 Ambassador, Attractions (Open)
Position Summary
The Ambassador, Attractions is responsible for the smooth operations within the Adventure Park and Kid City, ensuring that the overall guest experience is delivered, manage the crowd control, ticket selling and to keep check the condition of all related areas ensuring that the highest service quality standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greets guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner by smiling and establishing eye contact, ensuring their safety and the highest priority
- Works with both children and adults by assisting them with safety harnesses ,making sure the patron is safe from any danger
- Follows all operational policies and procedures for the department
- Responsible for selling tickets while providing general information to guests and handling guests’ enquiries or handle guests’ comments/ issues
- Receives payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, casino points and room charge for tickets
- Ensures the security of all cash and tickets and balance money at end of shift with supervisor
- Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
- Generates daily ticket terminal sales reports and responsible for the balance of total cash and credit card sales receipts, followed by the supervisor’s verification
- Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales
- Check or collect admission tickets and passes from guests at entertainment attractions or events
- Examines tickets to verify authenticity
- Guides guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
- Directs guests to restrooms, concessions and smoking lounges or any locations as deemed necessary
- Refuses admittance to undesirable persons or persons without tickets or could not fulfil the requirements as stated on the Condition of Entry
- Searches for lost articles or for parents of lost children
- Maintains the queuing/crowd control when necessary
- Conducts pre-opening inspections of assigned locations and prepares for opening by sweeping queue lines, platforms, entrance and exit locations, emptying trash and etc
- Clearly communicates instructions and safety announcements to guests and monitor the Attraction location to ensure guests are enjoying the attraction or activity safely
- Ensures adequate through-put of the attraction is met by working efficiently and allowing the appropriate number of guests onto the attraction as determined by the SOP
- Responsible for evacuating the attraction and assisting guests through various evacuation methods including extreme heights, various types of platforms, stairs and ladders
- Assists with the restocking of all supplies relevant to their role, ensuring proper storage
- Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to supervisors
- Ensures work area is always clean and ready including the proper maintenance of all equipment needed to perform any tasks
- Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent professional training
- Practical attractions and customer service experience are preferred
- Previous kids club and professional baby sitting services experience is a plus
- Theme Parks or amusement park experience is an advantage
Skills / Competencies
- Pleasant personality with good customer services sense
- Maintains a very high standard of personal presentation at all times
- Ability to speak and write English. Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
- Strong Organization skills and work ethic needed
- Ability to perform under pressure and have an aptitude for problem solving
- Ability to work nights, weekends, public holidays, on an eight hour schedule
