Role Description
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing courteous and efficient service to all guests. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The Waiter/Waitress must uphold the restaurant’s values of quality, responsibility, and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
To ensure complete preparation of restaurant/ room, mis-en-place before the area opens for operation
To assist waiters during, before and after service times.
To handle all guests without bias or prejudice
To write out/print guest cheques and ensure their proper processing by presenting them to guests and cashing the time
To replenish the items in the waiters station area as per the policy of the hotel
To follow the duty allocation made by the supervisors and work in any outlet or as per the requirement.
To follow the house rules and policies laid down by the management
To clean crockery, cutlery and other F&B service equipment in order to maintain the hygiene standards of the hotel
To set waiter stations in a daily basis according to the instructions of the supervisor
Be responsible and accountable for all items and equipment in possession.
To adhere to strict grooming and hygiene standards
To consciously and continuously strive to better his/ her skills and increase his/ her knowledge
Qualifications
- Customer Service and Communication skills
- Experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service
- Basic Cooking skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
