About The Role
Snappi Business Development leads the development of Snappi's strategy for business growth, to ensure snappi's business objectives grow value, are validated for feasibility, and are sustainable from a financial and risk perspective. Snappi Business Development comprises Strategy and M&A, Strategic Projects, International Expansion and Partnerships.
Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) oversees Snappi's strategic planning and execution, and leads its M&A activities. The Strategy Analyst supports these activities with delivery of thorough research and quality analysis and documentation, as required.
What You 'll Be Doing
- Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends
- Create detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
- Analyze internal and external data to evaluate business performance, identify improvement areas, and recommend solutions. Support adjustment of Business Plan with changes in strategy.
- Prepare and organize strategy and business plan reviews with key stakeholders and follow-up on agreed action points. Co-ordinates collection and distribution of supporting material
- Analyze KPIs related to operational performance, to identify improvement opportunities and assess effectiveness of improvement initiatives
- Develop processes relevant to strategic planning with guidance of others and document for future reference
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related disciplines
- Experience (2 to 4 years) in strategic planning, investment banking, consulting, business development, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of Retail Banking industry will be considered as an asset
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven recommendations. Strategic thinker who understands implications of their analysis
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to see the big picture and anticipate future trends and challenges
- Ability to work effectively across different functions (e.g., finance, product, operations) and foster collaboration among diverse teams
- Demonstrates a strong ethical compass and a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance
- A forward-thinking, innovative approach, with a willingness to challenge the status quo for better outcomes
- Global citizen mindset - a couple of years spent living outside home country considered a positive.
- Able to independently compose analysis and recommendations in high-quality .doc and .ppt documents
- Proficient in financial modeling in Excel and company valuation techniques.
