About The Role
This role is an integral part of our dynamic Solar department and your primary responsibility will be the tendering process. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, project managers, and sales personnel to facilitate project execution and ensure customer satisfaction.
The Solar Sales Support Engineer position exists to streamline and enhance the pre-sales process by providing precise calculations, tailored technical solutions, and comprehensive support to the sales team and customers. This role is essential for ensuring accurate offers, aligning tender requirements with company capabilities, and delivering customized solutions that meet client need.
This role is vital in bridging the gap between technical expertise and sales initiatives, with a focus on enhancing our customer's experience with Alumil's products.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and verify all necessary parts and accessories for solar projects to ensure accurate and competitive offers
- Prepare detailed and professional project offers in line with customer requirements and market standards
- Analyze tender documentation to identify technical specifications and compliance requirements
- Provide technical support and consultancy to the sales team during the pre-sales phase to enhance project success
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop customized solutions tailored to their specifications
- Support projects with partners to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery
- Assist in the management of the project pipeline, tracking progress and addressing issues as needed
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of sales efforts with overall business strategy
- Stay updated on industry advancements and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the solar energy industry
- Collaborate with the project management team to align sales activities with project timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Technical studies in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration or related fields
- Prior experience in a technical support or engineering role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sector
- Proficient in CAD software and tools related to PV design and calculation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project support
- Interpreting technical drawings and tender documentation
- Demonstrated proficiency in EXCEL applications
- Experience in delivering technical support to sales teams
