In this vital role, you will be tasked with moderating user-generated content for a prominent social media platform, ensuring that community standards are upheld while fostering a supportive online environment. Your fluency in a Nordic language (such as Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish) will be crucial in managing and evaluating diverse content effectively. Responsibilities
- Moderate user-generated content on a leading social media platform to ensure compliance with community guidelines
- Review and analyze posts, comments, and messages in the Nordic language of your choice for appropriateness and relevance
- Identify and report any violations of community standards, including hate speech, harassment, and misinformation
- Engage with users by responding to inquiries regarding moderation policies and community practices
- Collaborate with the moderation team to share insights and improve content moderation strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of moderation actions and assist in monitoring content trends
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on best practices and changes in platform policies
Requirements
- Fluency in a Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish) with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Prior experience in content moderation, social media management, or a similar role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to interpret content contextually
- Excellent analytical skills and effective decision-making capabilities
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and their moderation guidelines
- Able to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment
