We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive
Senior Compliance Officer (Seychelles) to lead and manage our compliance function in a Seychelles-licensed Forex company. This key leadership role requires deep expertise in financial services compliance, particularly within the forex and CFD trading sector, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting the business's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, provide oversight for the company's compliance framework, and foster a strong culture of compliance across all levels of the organization.
Your daily activities as a Senior Compliance Officer (Seychelles) will be:
- Compliance Framework Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework in line with Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) requirements
- Monitor the company's activities to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Regulatory Liaison:
- Act as the main point of contact with the Seychelles FSA and other relevant regulatory bodies
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, filings, and responses to inquiries
- Proactively monitor changes in the regulatory environment and ensure timely implementation of updates
- AML/CFT Compliance:
- Oversee the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) programs, including conducting risk assessments, due diligence, and transaction monitoring
- Ensure the company's compliance with FATCA, CRS, and other international reporting obligations
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on AML/CFT and compliance matters
- Internal Oversight and Reporting:
- Develop and execute the annual compliance monitoring plan
- Provide regular compliance reports to the board of directors and senior management
- Lead compliance audits and investigations to address any identified issues
- Ensure proper onboarding and ongoing monitoring of clients and business partners
- Client and Partner Oversight:
- Supervise adherence to KYC and due diligence processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a compliance leadership role within the forex/financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of Seychelles FSA regulations and international compliance standards
- Expertise in AML/CFT frameworks, KYC processes, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with regulators and external auditors
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, with a commitment to ethical conduct
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as CAMS or ICA is a plus).
