We are seeking a
Head of People Operations to lead and optimize our HR operations team by evaluating its structure and implementing improvements to maximize performance. You will ensure HR processes are consistent, compliant, and efficient while developing frameworks for onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and offboarding. As a mentor and leader, you will foster a collaborative team culture and drive innovation through automation and process optimization. What You Will Be Doing:
HR Operations Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop HR Operations team to ensure high performance and employee satisfaction
- Deliver an example of excellence by being able to personally execute any HR Operations activity, instruct and provide firm hands-on supervision to ensure timely and quality delivery of HR operational tasks
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture
HR Operations
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and offboarding
- Develop, document, and maintain HR policies, procedures (SOPs), and workflows to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency in HR operations
- Collect, monitor, analyze, and interpret HR data to provide actionable insights for management
- Monitor and improve HR operational workflows to enhance efficiency and positive employee experience
- Collaborate with other HR functions to ensure consistency in processes
HR Administration & Documentation
- Manage and oversee all HR administrative functions, including maintaining employee records, contracts, and documentation
- Monitor and maintain employee records, ensuring all files and documents meet accuracy and compliance standards — both in person and by arrangement a proper and clear process
- Develop and optimize HR documentation workflows
- Personal handling of complicated cases and tasks in the field of international employment and service contracting workflow, EoR relations etc
Payroll Management
- Providing executive guidance and coordination to the Head of Payroll team
- Act as a counsel and final referee over complicated Payroll matters
- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
- Maintain segregation of duties to minimize risks, ensure proper checks and balances, and uphold financial integrity in payroll processes.
- Together with CHRO and Head of Payroll team perform regular audit of team happiness & performance
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate reporting for audits and ensure adherence to data privacy standards
- Regularly review and update HR processes to align with legal and compliance requirements
- Liaising with in-house and external legal counsels on matters requiring clarification and optimisation (overseas employment, best practices etc.)
Systems, Technology & Automation
- Providing executive guidance and coordination to the Head of HR Systems
- Coordinate leveraging of the advanced features of HR/payroll software and drive the integration of HR software with other business systems to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
About You:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in HR operations, including payroll, compliance, and process management in a fast-paced environment; preferably in a multinational scale-up
- 2+ years of leadership experience in HR Operations with at least 5 direct reports, preferably in a multinational environment
- Experience with HR systems and payroll software, automation tools and task trackers
- Deep knowledge of international principles of employment laws and compliance requirements; ability to quickly self-educate on the national labour law landscapes, key regions being UK, Cyprus, Germany
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to process improvement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Fluent spoken and written English and Russian are a must
