We are a well-established Forex entity based in Limassol, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our company. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with foundational accounting experience to grow and develop their career in the dynamic Forex industry. This role also offers the opportunity to gain specialized training in the Payment Service Provider (PSP) field.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks for multiple companies within the group.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Calculate and prepare tax and VAT filings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory compliance reports, including CySEC and Central Bank requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and other key business partners.
- Manage and execute the full payroll cycle for the company.
- Learn and perform reconciliation of Payment Service Provider (PSP) transactions, including monitoring transaction flows and analyzing PSP financial reports.
- Support the preparation and execution of annual and periodic bank account reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Requirements:
Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in the Forex or financial services industry will be considered an advantage.
Education:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with XERO accounting software is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Familiarity with CySEC reporting is an advantage.
- Previous experience with the full payroll cycle and relevant legislation is a plus.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required.
