Core Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination and Optimization
- Organize and coordinate warehouse activities to ensure efficiency and alignment with project needs.
- Serve as a key user for logistics systems (SAP or equivalent ERP), managing system updates and resolving issues sustainably.
- Analyze logistics processes and implement optimization strategies to reduce costs and enhance performance.
- Monitor and manage the flow of supplies and inventory for multiple projects.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor site inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishments.
- Optimize stock capacity to reduce costs while maintaining operational readiness.
- Update and maintain SAP or other ERP systems to provide reliable and real-time inventory data.
Vendor and Carrier Management
- Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and transport providers, ensuring adherence to contracts, service levels, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain and expand transportation networks through market research and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure safe and direct delivery of equipment through close coordination with Procurement.
Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement
- Initiate and coordinate logistics projects to streamline workflows and improve logistics quality performance.
- Enhance logistics procedures and ensure compliance with established standards to guarantee safe, sustainable, and efficient operations.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Liaise with internal teams (Procurement, Accounting, Construction, Warehouses) to address logistics requirements and constraints effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement to support purchase/import actions and ensure efficient supply chain operations.
Budget and Cost Management
- Manage and control the logistics budget, focusing on cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
- Examine and propose cost-effective transport and inventory management methods to improve financial performance.
Leadership and Team Development
- Motivate, lead, and develop team members to optimize their capabilities and foster collaboration.
- Provide training and support to enhance the team's expertise in logistics systems and processes.
Compliance and Industry Knowledge
- Ensure compliance with logistics standards, including Incoterms 2020 and international transportation regulations.
- Stay updated on logistics trends and developments to maintain competitive and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience- Education:
- University Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics Management, or Business Administration.
- A Master's Degree in a relevant field is an asset.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of logistics operations experience, preferably in an industrial or renewable energy environment.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and international logistics regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different stakeholder groups.
- Proven project management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Availability to travel and make quick, strategic decisions in a dynamic environment.
