The Head of Analytics is responsible for overseeing and driving the data analytics strategy, operations, and execution across the organization. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that data is leveraged to make informed decisions, improve business performance, and support the organization's overall data driven culture. The role requires both technical expertise in data science and analytics as well as leadership skills to manage teams and communicate data-driven insights to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:
- Define and drive the data analytics strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure the effective use of data analytics to support decision-making across departments such as marketing, product, operations, CRM, and customer service.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and data scientists.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Data Analytics tools:
- Choose and manage analytics tools and technologies (e.g., BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker and programming languages like Python or R).
- Work with data engineering and BI teams to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of the data infrastructure.
Analytics Execution:
- Oversee the development of advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI, to drive insights that improve business outcomes.
- Provide oversight and guidance on key analytics projects, ensuring they deliver actionable insights and value to the business.
- Ensure that data-driven insights are effectively communicated to senior leadership, enabling them to make well-informed strategic decisions.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the point of contact for all data analytics needs across the organization.
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, operations, and CRM teams to identify opportunities for data analysis that support business goals.
- Ensure that insights and reports are easily digestible and accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams of data analysts and data scientists.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Expertise in advanced analytics, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery).
