About the role
A forward-thinking Fintech enterprise leading the charge in revolutionizing payment practices is actively seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. Our company stands as a pioneer in developing cutting-edge solutions and products that empower both individuals and enterprises, fostering seamless digital financial journeys.
The Finance Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payments, with experience in the iGaming or similar industries being an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in the bookkeeping function for the group companies.
- Record all financial transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Reconcile customer accounts, payment gateways, and other financial records.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor cash flow and report any irregularities or concerns to senior management.
- Work closely with other departments, including Customer Success, Customer Support, etc to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Maintain an up-to-date log at all times of issues raised by customers and take action to timely resolve them.
- Maintain communication with customers on one-off and recurring matters.
- Assist with ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payment processing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of iGaming industry operations and regulations is an advantage.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
