The Faculty of Arts & Sciences (FAS) at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) is inviting applications for a part-time faculty position in the following discipline:
Located in the historic coastal town of Pafos (Cyprus), AUB Mediterraneo is the newly established first-ever twin campus of the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. Founded in 1866, AUB is a teaching-centered research university that bases its educational philosophy, standards, and practices on the American liberal arts model of higher education. The university encourages freedom of thought and expression and seeks to graduate men and women committed to creative and critical thinking, life-long learning, personal integrity, civic responsibility, and leadership. AUB operates under a charter granted by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) which registers the university's degree programs. All departments and programs at AUB Mediterraneo are accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education (CYQAA). The language of instruction is English.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of an MA in Greek language or equivalent degree in teaching Greek as a foreign language is required for this position, along with a teaching experience of at least two years. The selected candidate must be able to work in a diverse environment with English-speaking students, a strong sense of initiative, commitment to teaching as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills. The selected candidate is also expected to participate in the various academic and outreach activities of the university.

Positions are designed for the Spring 2024-25 semester, from mid-January 2024 until the end of May 2025. Financial remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Deadline for applications is December 31, 2024.
