We are looking for a Senior Game Designer with relocation to Cyprus
✅Key responsibilities:
✔️Conceptualize and design innovative gameplay features that contribute to the overall enjoyment and immersion of the game.
✔️Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, programmers, and writers, to integrate new features seamlessly into the game.
✔️Conceptualize game designs and mechanics with a focus on entertainment and engagement.
✔️Drive the vision and implementation of features and game systems, ensuring a novel and satisfying player experience.
✔️Research existing game mechanics and integrate established experiences to create unique and innovative gameplay.
✔️Conduct thorough analysis of game mechanics to ensure a balanced and fair gameplay experience.
✔️Iteratively adjust and fine-tune various game parameters, such as character abilities, weapon stats, and resource economies, to maintain a satisfying level of challenge for players.
✔️ Create comprehensive design documentation detailing gameplay mechanics, systems, and features for reference by the development team.
✔️Maintain and update design documents to reflect changes and improvements throughout the development process.
✔️Work closely with UX designers to ensure that game features are not only functional but also provide an intuitive and enjoyable user experience.
✔️Identify and address any potential player frustration points through thoughtful design adjustments.
✔️Collaborate with other team members to integrate narrative elements seamlessly into the gameplay, ensuring a cohesive and immersive player experience.
✔️Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and provide constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and creative environment.
✔️Share insights with the team and contribute to discussions on how to push the boundaries of game design.
✅Requirements:
✔️5+ years of hands-on experience in game design.
✔️Demonstrated success in delivering multiple games across various platforms.
✔️Specialized knowledge in LiveOps projects and a track record of successful contributions.
Game Systems Design:
✔️Proficient in designing and balancing complex gameplay systems.
✔️Extensive experience in creating clear design documentation and using spreadsheets for system modeling and game tuning.
✔️Strong understanding of typical game mechanics and the ability to balance high-quality, enjoyable player experiences with product goals.
✔️Expert level understanding of game systems design, progression, and monetization strategies.
Communication and Collaboration:
✔️Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
✔️Ability to express thoughts clearly and convincingly, both orally and in writing.
✔️Proven teamwork capabilities in both individual and group settings.
Organizational Skills:
✔️Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
✔️Value documentation and maintain detailed design documentation, including game mechanics, systems, and features.
Project Management:
✔️Proficiency in MS Office, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
✔️Capable of actively working on multiple projects concurrently with strong multitasking skills..
Mathematical Design and Balance:
✔️Lead and participate in iterative mathematical design reviews.
✔️Highly experienced at balancing in-game economies and progression.
✅Nice to have:
✔️Enthusiastic about games in general with a deep passion for playing, analyzing, and engaging in in-depth discussions about them
✔️Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
✔️Familiarity with slot and casino games, as well as a good understanding of the casino industry and its current market landscape
✔️Passion for various game formats, including board games, card games, sports, casino, casual games, RPGs etc
✔️Real-money gaming industry experience is preferred
