REQ10696 Technician, Entertainment Technology (Open)
Position Summary
The Technician, Entertainment Technology provides high quality standards and technical support within the Entertainment Department, ensuring the effective operations in accordance to the Company’s policies and procedures. Also, Technicians will be expected, as needed, to work autonomously in collaboration with the Stage and Events team within the Entertainment department to facilitate, run and operate AV equipment during both in house and external events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensures day to day technical operation of all entertainment venues in City of Dreams Mediterranean
- Carries out assigned daily operational tasks, to ensure all systems relevant to show performances are functional, maintaining a high standard of technical services across all venues.
- Organizes, carries out and completes all maintenance requests on time.
- Given the complexity and the risk related with the equipment under the responsibility of the department, ensures that all technical operation and procedures are safe.
- Adheres to and assists in developing health and safety practices with the Entertainment Technology team.
- Handles all “AVL” related system setup, standby and dismantling of events.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting audio, video and lighting equipment.
- Preparing, tuning, configuring and positioning audio, video and lighting equipment for the best possible results.
- Testing audio, video and lighting equipment prior to the start of an event to ensure that all is in working order.
- Editing and mixing live audio to client and artist specifications.
- Play backing tracks and special effects during corporate or live events.
- Collaborate with other vendors such as a photography or film crew.
- Follow briefs to support event coordinators and wedding planners.
- Finding effective means to store and transport audio, video and lighting equipment as and when is needed.
- Coordinates with Housekeeping/Environmental Services department for any follow up cleaning jobs required after completion of each job
- Ensures all tools and equipment are regularly inspected for their correct functions and safe for operational uses
- Ensures the tidiness and cleanliness of the working bench, workshop areas and storage areas so that a safe workplace is maintained for all
- Follows up all deficiencies noted during regular inspection and takes ownership to carry out necessary works and reports to his/her superiors at first instant for any breakdown that will affect operations
- Personally, supervises all hazardous work and ensures all safety regulations are being strictly observed by all employees
- Maintains good relationship with contractors in order to get the best service possible
- Works closely with hired temporary crew to assist in the setup and teardown of special events
- Follows the schedule to ensure technical equipment is delivered, setup and struck from each of the different entertainment locations
- Assists in operation of appointed attractions and related tasks
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments
- Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
Experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of pertinent experience in relation to the position
Education
- Secondary school certificate in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical or other rated discipline, or equivalent professional training is preferred
- Candidates without any trade certificates but with solid experience will also be considered
Skills
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot and/or maintain Audio, Lighting and Video equipment
- Willingness to learn and become independent with all entertainment technology systems
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent command of Greek and English are highly preferred
- Good knowledge of basic computer use (MS Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint) is highly preferred
- Hands-on and possesses good problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work on flexible shifts including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
- Ability to work on overtime when needed
- Good health, physically fit and excellence in personal grooming and presentation
- Responsible for leading a team of in-house and external technicians crew members
- Assist in coordinating events on the ground in collaboration with the Event Coordinators, Supervisors and Casino Marketing teams
- Relatively solid level of fitness to be able to conduct various hazardous activities with safety and ease (ladders, moving heavy material, quickly attending to various issues throughout the property
