What are your responsibilities?
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing futures sales team to achieve sales targets and business growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss market trends, client needs, and strategic opportunities. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the client base, focusing on high-value institutional clients and retail investors.
- Drive sales of futures contracts across various asset classes, including commodities (oil, gold, wheat), currencies, indices, and financial instruments (interest rates, bonds).
- Identify new business opportunities and monitor emerging market trends, adjusting sales tactics as needed to stay competitive and capture market demand.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, offering tailored solutions to meet their futures trading needs, whether for hedging or speculative purposes.
- Ensure clients fully understand the intricacies of futures contracts, including underlying assets, contract size, expiration dates, pricing, and settlement options.
- Provide expert guidance on leverage, initial margins, maintenance margins, and mark-to-market procedures, helping clients manage their risk effectively.
- Stay abreast of global market trends, geopolitical events, and economic data that may impact the futures market, and translate this information into actionable insights for the team and clients.
- Work closely with the trading and research teams to gather market intelligence and optimize sales efforts.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices in client onboarding, trade execution, and reporting to reduce risk and ensure transparency.
- Prepare detailed sales reports and market analysis for senior management, offering insights into performance, client acquisition, and retention metrics.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience leading a sales team within the futures trading industry.
- Deep understanding of futures markets, including commodities, currencies, indices, stocks or financial instruments.
- Strong understanding of leverage, margins, and risk management strategies.
