Our client a long established and diverse group in
Corporate Services is currently in the process of recruiting a highly motivated and skilled
Client Accounting Manager for its Corporate Services Division. As a key member of the Client Accounting Team, the ideal candidate will be expected to oversee the accounting services we provide to our clients. The successful candidate will lead a team of accountants, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all client-related accounting processes. This is a key role within the firm, requiring technical expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will be expected to work at the Head Office in Nicosia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the client accounting department, providing guidance, training, and support to the team
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, client payroll and VAT/VIES reports
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant laws
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of statutory filings
- Monitor and maintain client accounts, ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting and record-keeping
- Work closely with other departments, such as compliance and corporate administration, to streamline processes and ensure a cohesive approach to client service delivery
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient workflows within the accounting department
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on accounting matters including cross-selling objectives
- Assist in projects as may be assigned
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- At least five years of experience in a client accounting role, preferably within a corporate service provider or financial services firm
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, Cypriot tax regulations, payroll services and corporate law
- Experience in supervising a team and delivering high-quality accounting services
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills including ability to keep track of and meet various deadlines and tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively with cross-selling skills
- Fluent in English and Greek
- Excellent written/ verbal communications skills
- Excellent use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Accounting Software (Navision)
Qualifications
- University Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
- ACCA, ACA qualified
