The House of Mercier is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Nordic Speaking Social Media Content Moderators to join our team in remote positions from Greece. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about social media and dedicated to creating a safe, engaging online community. As a Content Moderator, you will handle user-generated content primarily in Nordic languages, ensuring that it aligns with our community standards while working from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities
- Monitor and review user-generated content on social media platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines
- Evaluate posts, comments, and messages in Nordic languages, making informed decisions to approve, flag, or remove inappropriate content
- Document and report instances of policy violations, including hate speech, spam, and other abusive behaviors
- Engage with users by addressing inquiries and providing clarification on community standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with the social media team to share insights based on user interactions and community trends
- Maintain thorough records of moderation actions and assist in generating performance reports
- Stay current on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media moderation
Requirements
- Fluency in one or more Nordic languages (e.g., Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic), with excellent written communication abilities
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Prior experience in content moderation or related social media roles is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess content accurately
- Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment in moderation decisions
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and their content policies
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment
