Position overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in the PropTech industry, specializing in B2B software and hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. You will be responsible for expanding our client base and developing long-term relationships with our partners.
Key responsibilities:
Market research & Strategy development:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities in the PropTech space, including trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.
- Develop and implement business development strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Identify emerging markets, technology shifts, and customer segments to maximize market penetration.
Client acquisition & relationship management:
- Identify and establish relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders in the real estate and property management sectors.
- Negotiate and close deals with enterprise-level clients, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company offerings.
- Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with clients, focusing on upselling and cross-selling opportunities for software and hardware solutions.
Sales & Revenue growth:
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing.
- Develop sales forecasts and maintain accurate records of sales pipelines and prospects.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, marketing, and engineering) to ensure customer feedback is integrated into future product development.
Partnership development:
- Identify and build strategic partnerships with real estate developers, property management companies, and other stakeholders in the PropTech ecosystem.
- Establish alliances with technology providers, resellers, and other third-party vendors to expand our product offerings and reach.
Industry networking & representation:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand recognition and drive new business.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in PropTech and B2B software and hardware solutions.
Key requirements:
1. Experience:
- 5+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the B2B software, hardware, or PropTech sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the PropTech industry and an understanding of real estate technology solutions, including smart building systems, IoT devices, property management software, and more.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and KPIs.
Skills & competencies:
- Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with enterprise-level clients and industry partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to assess market data and customer feedback to develop strategic business initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, driving projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Technical knowledge:
- Familiarity with PropTech solutions, smart building technologies, IoT systems, and SaaS business models.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and hardware integration processes is a plus.
