Job Title: Compliance Officer
Location: Limassol, Cyprus (On-Site)
Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Surveillance: Assist in monitoring trading activities and transactions to detect any suspicious or unauthorized activities. This involves reviewing reports and alerts generated by
compliance monitoring systems.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain and update compliance-related documentation including policies, procedures, registers and records of regulatory filings. Ensure all documents are organized and easily accessible for audits and reviews.
Compliance Reporting: Prepare regular compliance reports for management and regulatory authorities. This may involve compiling data, analyzing trends, and summarizing findings related to compliance issues.
Regulatory Research: Stay informed about regulatory developments and updates that affect the investment firm and its operations. Conduct research on regulatory requirements and assist in interpreting how they apply to the firm's operations.
Training and Education: Assist in organizing compliance training programs for employees. This includes scheduling training sessions, preparing materials, and tracking employee participation and completion.
Investigations and Reviews: Assist in conducting reviews as per the compliance monitoring program and conducting investigations into compliance breaches or incidents reported by employees or detected through monitoring systems and documenting findings.
Policy Implementation: Support the Compliance Officer in implementing new or updated compliance policies and procedures across the organization. This may involve communicating changes to relevant
departments and ensuring understanding and compliance.
Client Due Diligence: Assist in performing due diligence checks on clients, including reviewing client documentation and verifying compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
Internal Audit: Collaborate with internal audit team to facilitate compliance audits. Provide necessary documentation and assistance during audit processes.
Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in special projects related to compliance initiatives, regulatory filings, or other areas as directed by the Compliance Department manager or senior management.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in the Compliance Department in a CIF.
Academic Qualifications in BA, Law, Finance, Economics, Compliance and/or any related field.
Holding of CySEC Advanced and/or AML Certificates will be considered as an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office.
High integrity.
