Job Overview
The Financial Controller will lead the financial operations for a group of companies. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and managing relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulators.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the stand alone, consolidation under IFRSs and management accounting of a group of companies, providing reports on a monthly basis as requested, and determine / implement the Company's financial planning, including the annual budgeting.
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRSs, communication with external auditors, tax advisors.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities, inclusive taxes and other filings.
- Communication with the banks and other service providers.
- Supervising and advising on payroll related matters on an ad-hoc basis.
- Managing the implementation of new ERP system, providing guidance and training to the team members.
- Implementation of the Internal Regulations and procedures of the Company for the Accounting Department and ensuring that all departmental staff are up to date.
- Preparing of various management ad-hoc reports.
- Assisting in tax and group restructurings.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as necessary to support the Company's business needs.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting and Finance or any other relevant field.
- ACA or ACCA qualification is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or any other relevant role.
- Previous experience in a Big Four firm and experience in the FinTech industry will be considered major advantages.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience with CySEC reports will be considered as an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to manage a team and meet tight deadlines.
