SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
The Revenue Executive supports the Revenue Manager in optimizing the hotel’s transient room inventory and maximizing revenue. This role includes assisting with group room management, implementing pricing strategies, and supporting inventory management systems to ensure effective selling strategies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assisting in Analysing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
• Compiling and monitoring actual versus projected sales data under the guidance of the Business Development Manager.
• Assisting in the analysis of information to identify trends and opportunities.
• Supporting data entry, report generation, and presentation preparation.
• Contributing to sales strategy analysis to help increase market share across properties.
• Maintaining reservation system accuracy and assisting in period-end data analysis.
• Supporting the Revenue Manager with updates on the transient segment and account diagnostics.
2. Supporting Revenue Management Projects and Strategy Execution
• Keeping up-to-date with market changes and assisting in strategy adjustments as needed.
• Assisting in the achievement of performance, budget, and team goals.
• Attending and supporting planning and coordination meetings.
• Helping implement established revenue strategies.
• Providing information on job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes as needed.
• Assisting in meeting stakeholder needs and supporting profit-driven opportunities.
• Supporting cluster general managers and market sales leaders with revenue management expertise.
• Helping ensure that hotel strategies align with brand initiatives.
• Preparing materials for sales strategy meetings and assisting in the communication of rate restrictions and strategies.
• Assisting with room inventory management to maximize cluster revenue.
• Providing input on business evaluation and pricing recommendations.
• Supporting coordination efforts with group sales and reservation centers.
• Using demand forecasting and reservation systems to implement and monitor selling strategies.
• Assisting in checking distribution channels for hotel positioning accuracy and competitor information.
• Supporting the implementation of property diagnostic processes.
• Contributing to revenue tests and process improvements.
• Assisting in the communication of brand initiatives and market analysis to hotels and stakeholders.
3. Building Effective Relationships
• Developing and managing key stakeholder relationships with guidance from the Revenue Manager.
• Acting as a liaison, when necessary, between property teams and corporate systems support.
4. Additional Responsibilities
• Keeping the Revenue Manager and relevant team members informed on key updates.
• Attending staff, forecast, and planning meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management/ Tourism or Economics or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in Revenue, Business Development or related field in the Hospitality Industry
- Excellent Knowledge of English Language
- Highly effective communication and organizational Skills
- Strategic orientation as well as good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook) with a high-level command of Excel
- Excellent mathematical comprehension
- Proficiency in Hotel Property Management Software.
