Semesco Co. Ltd is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to be based at their offices in Limassol.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides accurate, timely and relevant recording of daily financial information based on international accounting policies and standards
- Clients’ costing and billing
- Examines banks – clients – suppliers statements
- Handles bank – creditors - personnel payments
- Reconciliations of intercompany accounts
- Calculates related taxes and other deductions and contributions to Department of Inland Revenue, Department of Social Security, etc.
- Prepares monthly cash flow, financial reports and management accounts
- Participates in the preparation, evaluation and maintenance of budgets and budgetary controls
- Reads, interprets and enforces compliance to accounting policies/standards, contract terms, tax guidelines and Cyprus Law
- Liaises with external stakeholders (e.g. Banks, Lawyers, Auditors, Governmental authorities, etc.)
- Handles Value Added Tax, Corporation Tax, Defence Fund, G.H.S and levies
- Performs any other accounting and finance tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or any other related field
- ACA/ACCA/CPA Qualified
- At least 5 years previous work experience in similar position
- Strong knowledge of TAX / VAT regulations, Labour legislation and payroll procedures
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting, payroll and software databases
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent planning organisation and time pressure management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach towards management
