nternational ocean transportation company, a
Senior HR Manager who will play a critical in establishing the HR Department in the new Cyprus office. You will be responsible for leading the recruitment efforts, managing employee relations, implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. This is a strategic role that will directly impact the company's growth and success in Cyprus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Department Setup:
- Lead the setup of the HR function in the new Limassol office.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
- Design an organizational structure that supports the company's goals and expansion plans.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to attract top talent for the new office.
- Oversee the hiring process, from job posting to interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Work with department heads to identify staffing needs and fill critical roles.
Employee Relations & Culture Development:
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting a company culture that aligns with company's values.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure fair and compliant HR practices.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with Cypriot labor laws and regulations.
- Manage HR-related risks, including contracts, employee documentation, and legal compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local labor authorities and employment law matters.
Performance Management & Employee Development:
- Develop and implement performance management systems.
- Lead initiatives for employee training and development.
- Partner with leadership on succession planning and career development programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Design competitive compensation packages in line with market standards.
- Manage payroll, employee benefits, and incentive programs.
- Ensure transparency and compliance in compensation matters.
HR Systems & Data Management:
- Select and implement HR systems and software for effective workforce management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, ensuring data privacy and confidentiality.
Leadership & Strategic Partnering:
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management to align HR strategies with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
- HR Manager: 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- HR Director: 8+ years of experience in HR leadership, preferably within an international or rapidly growing company.
- Experience in establishing new offices or headquarters is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Strong understanding of Cypriot labor laws and employment practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proficient in HR software and systems.
- Fluency in English and Greek is required.
