GCS Malta is seeking an Accountant to work with one of Malta’s leading security companies. The chosen candidate will perform a range of accounting and bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring postings and statements for purchases are updated
- Keeping track of credit control section
- Preparing of monthly management accounts of various companies and VAT returns
- Improving on existing internal control procedures
- Responsible for executing the budgeting process for the Companies under the remit of the line manager
- Assisting the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) in maintaining full control over the cash-flow
- Preparing ad hoc reports as requested by the GCFO
- Liaising with auditors during audits
- Assisting on other matters
The ideal candidate must be in the final stages of ACCA qualifications or possess a University Degree, and a minimum of 1 year experience in an accounts department.
One must be able to work within a team and have great organizational skills with the ability to reach deadlines.
Excellent written and oral proficiency in both English and Maltese are a must.
