We are seeking a skilled and dedicated gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of our clients' gardens and landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and gardening, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing plants
- Plan and design garden layouts, selecting appropriate plants and materials
- Plant new flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features
- Monitor plant health and identify issues such as pests or diseases, taking appropriate measures to address them
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safe and efficient use
- Collaborate with other staff members to create and implement landscape projects
- Keep detailed records of plant care, maintenance schedules, and inventory
- Assist in seasonal preparations, including planting, mulching, and winterization
- Provide guidance and education to clients or visitors regarding plant care and gardening best practices
Requirements
- Previous experience as a gardener or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of plant species, horticulture, and landscape design
- Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for horticulture
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
