One of our clients, one of the leading land and property development company in Cyprus, is seeking to hire a
Finance and Accounts Manager for their Limassol office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the efficient functioning of the company’s Finance and Accounting operations
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants to guarantee the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with local laws and standards
- Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Track cash flow, monitor financial performance and profitability, and provide strategic financial advice to the management team
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns, VAT filings, and other mandatory statutory reports
- Support external audits by ensuring compliance with audit requirements and addressing any arising issues
- Foster relationships and coordinate with external partners, including auditors, financial institutions, and other associates
- Report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer
Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification will be considered as a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing (prior experience in the Construction and Real Estate industry is strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of Cyprus Tax and VAT legislation
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Highly motivated, with the ability to meet deadlines effectively
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Excellent command of the English language
