Our client is a leading international advisory and fiduciary services firm, catering to wealthy individuals, family offices, corporations, and institutional clients. They are currently seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join their growing team in Larnaca.
As the Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization adheres to legal standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. This position is essential in safeguarding the company’s integrity, mitigating risk, and fostering a strong culture of compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of industry regulations, a meticulous eye for detail, and exceptional communication skills.
Job Description
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure full adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, identifying potential compliance issues and recommending corrective measures.
- Monitor regulatory changes, ensuring the organization remains up to date with relevant laws and standards.
- Provide ongoing guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, including ethical conduct and regulatory expectations.
- Investigate any breaches or compliance concerns, prepare detailed reports, and oversee the implementation of remedial actions.
- Act as the liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders as required.
- Maintain thorough documentation of compliance activities, audit results, and risk management efforts.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate compliance practices seamlessly throughout the organization.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant certification from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in compliance, legal, or a related role.
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a CySEC-regulated firm.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.
- Solid understanding of business operations and financial markets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
