We're seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager (JVM) to lead our engineering teams at Vivid Money. In this leadership role, you will oversee multiple teams, including back-end, mobile, and web development, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
You will play a crucial part in product development, project management, hiring, and fostering innovation within the teams. Your leadership will help shape our financial products' future and drive our engineering department's growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple engineering teams
- Establish goals and objectives for each team, ensuring they are met consistently
- Monitor and improve team velocity to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Make key technical decisions, design solutions, negotiate with teams, and define deliverables and deadlines
- Recruit new team members, ensuring the right talent is brought on board
- Provide clear goals and objectives for engineers, fostering their growth through performance reviews and continuous feedback
- Drive innovation by introducing new ideas, approaches, and techniques to enhance the product and support team development
Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Engineering manager or in a similar leadership role
- Excellent communication skills to supervise staff and collaborate with other managers
- 5+ years of experience in a developer position
- Familiarity with industry development standards and technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and manage evolving project requirements
- Proficiency in English
