We are seeking an agile and highly motivated 'IoT Presales Engineer' to join our IoT business unit and play a key role in driving the adoption of our IoT solutions by articulating value propositions, customizing offerings and collaborating closely with our sales team to win new business opportunities.
Position Overview
The IoT Presales Engineer will play a crucial role in expanding our IoT offering (which encompasses our proprietary IoT platform and a strong vendor ecosystem) and achieving business objectives by working in a dynamic environment with both local and international customers and partners. This role is integral to enhancing our market presence across various verticals, such as Smart cities, Utilities, Factories, Sustainability and the Environment. It is well suited for a highly motivated individual with strong time management and problem-solving skills and a passion for IoT technologies.
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in the following activities:
- Respond to requests for information / proposal / quotation (RFI/P/Q), while coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders (finance, accounting, legal, bidding, etc.)
- Follow technology trends and help introduce new products, ensuring our solutions remain competitive and innovative
- Conduct market analysis, including market research, technology assessment and competitive analysis
- Collaborate with technology and business partners to drive business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction
- Promote products/solutions at exhibitions and conferences
- Prepare collateral material & technical documentation, including product descriptions, business-oriented brochures and sales presentations
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop targeted strategies
- Lead technical engagements of the sales process, serving as the main technical expert for potential customers
- Deliver presentations and demos to customers
- Gather information and analyze customer feedback to support product management and development functions
- Ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements and are aligned with industry standards
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of customer workshops and training sessions
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Telecommunications
- At least 2 years of work experience in a presales or product management role is essential
- Knowledge of the IoT market and a solid understanding of related products and solutions
- Good familiarity with connectivity protocols, device management concepts and cloud technologies
- Fluency in both Greek and English languages, with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel for short durations abroad
- Vendor management experience
Desired Skills
- Previous involvement in IoT/ICT projects (experience in tendering procedures within the Greek public sector will be considered advantageous)
- Solution formulation based on customer requirements
- Knowledge or experience in Energy and/or Water management and/or Smart City and Environmental solutions
- A business-related degree or certification will be considered an advantage
- Technical writing in both Greek and English language
