Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of transaction strategies and support the execution of M&A deals
- Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities, conducting thorough analysis and valuation
- Lead the creation and review of complex financial models, including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and DCF analysis
- Prepare investor materials, including Information Memorandums (IMs) and pitch decks
- Conduct comprehensive industry and company research to support transaction execution
- Manage live transactions by coordinating with clients, buyers, and targets, ensuring the efficient facilitation of due diligence processes
- Play a key role in transaction origination, opportunity assessment, and deal execution
Skills and experience:
- A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier institution, with professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, or equivalent
- A 2-4 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields
- Advanced financial modeling skills, with experience in building valuation models, LBO models, and merger models
- A solid understanding of transaction processes, including key elements of negotiation and legal documentation
- Proficiency with financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters, Capital IQ, or similar platforms
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with a strategic and detail-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and professionally
- Fluency in Greek and English is essential; proficiency in other European languages is highly desirable
