As the Head of Business Development, your role will be to lead a team focused on building and scaling relationships with affiliates, content creators, educators, and academies, helping drive the firm’s growth through a strong and engaged network.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Affiliate Network Growth Strategy:
- Develop a targeted affiliate growth strategy that aligns with the firm's goals, working closely with the executive team to establish objectives.
- Prioritize relationship-building with content creators, trading educators, and academies to strengthen brand presence and attract new partners.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, coach, and support the business development team to achieve affiliate acquisition and retention targets. Create a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on network growth and partner satisfaction.
Lead Generation and Onboarding:
- Oversee strategies for sourcing and onboarding new affiliates, ensuring outreach methods are optimized for various target audiences, including creators, educators, and institutions.
- Manage the pipeline for new partner acquisition, ensuring timely follow-up and smooth integration into the network.
Affiliate and Partner Relationship Management:
- Build and sustain strong, lasting relationships with key partners. Establish regular touchpoints with affiliates to enhance engagement and identify areas for increased support.
- Collaborate with the customer success and marketing teams to provide partners with resources, updates, and promotional materials.
Data-Driven Performance Management:
- Establish and track KPIs specifically for affiliate-driven revenue, lead quality, and conversion rates.
- Use analytics and feedback loops to refine outreach strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in partner acquisition and retention efforts.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities for partnerships within the trading education sector.
- Develop unique value propositions that resonate with educators and creators and set The Trading Pit apart from competitors.
Sales Process and Outreach Optimization:
- Evaluate and enhance processes specifically for affiliate and partnership engagement, including outreach methods, CRM use, and content distribution to affiliates.
- Implement automation tools and streamlined workflows to maximize team efficiency and ensure scalable processes.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work with the marketing team to create campaigns that attract new affiliates and provide engaging content for existing ones.
- Provide feedback to product and operations teams on affiliate needs, trends, and suggestions to optimize partner satisfaction and growth.
Training and Resource Development:
- Design and execute training sessions for the team on best practices in affiliate outreach, onboarding, and management.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop resources that affiliates can use, such as promotional materials and educational content.
Budget Oversight and Resource Allocation:
- Manage the business development budget with a focus on cost-effective partner acquisition and growth.
- Ensure optimal use of resources across initiatives to maximize the impact of the affiliate program.
Executive Reporting and Insights:
- Report regularly to the leadership team on affiliate network performance, growth metrics, and strategic recommendations.
- Provide insights on key trends and opportunities to shape future growth and partnerships.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: At least 6-7 years in management of teams focused on business development and partnership management, ideally within fintech or a closely related industry.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to exceed partnership goals, with experience fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Affiliate Marketing Expertise: A solid understanding of affiliate marketing, content creation, and partnership ecosystems.
- Analytical and Strategic Mindset: Strong data analysis skills to drive growth through data-informed decisions, coupled with strategic planning abilities.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated track record of cultivating successful partnerships with creators, educators, and institutions.
- Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adjust strategies based on market and network feedback.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with CRM and affiliate management tools (Hubspot, Cellxpert), leveraging technology to improve partner engagement.
