The Project
Cyprus Dysmenorrhea (CypDy) Project is a bi-communal research study on dysmenorrhea and vitamin D, funded by the European Union (EuropeAid/173620/DH/ACT/CY), and lead by Dr. Nilufer Rahmioglu from COHERS/KISAD and Dr. Lysia Demetriou from FemHealth. The purpose of this study is to explore the symptoms, effects on quality of life and awareness of dysmenorrhea in menstruating individuals in Cyprus. Additionally, it will explore potential associations between dysmenorrhea symptoms and vitamin D levels in adolescent and pre-menopausal individuals.
The Role
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screenings, enrolment, and follow-ups per protocol
- Keep recruitment records including consent forms and study documents
- Manage study and patient calendars and schedules
- Ensure compliance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Assist with writing and editing of study-related documents
- Assist with the project’s social media
Selection Criteria
- Fluent Turkish speaker
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Good understanding of menstrual health and sensitivities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in using social media (Instagram/Facebook)
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, psychology, nursing, medical or relevant field (completed or final year students)
- Good knowledge of English
