We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Key Account Manager to join our Crewing Department and be responsible for our Crew Management Clients (Passenger & Cruise). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing budgets, cost controlling, reviewing accounts and reporting to clients. The ideal candidate will possess good leadership attributes, strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a solid understanding of the maritime industry, specifically with experience with passenger & cruise vessels.
Key Responsibilities
Budget Preparation:
- Develop and prepare detailed budgets for crewing operations.
- Forecast OPEX performance and provide budget variance analysis.
- Work closely with other departments and Crewing operations team to ensure alignment of budgetary objectives.
Cost Controlling:
- Monitor and control costs associated with crew management and operations.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
- Regularly review expenditure against budget and recommend adjustments.
Accounts Review:
- Conduct thorough reviews of OPEX / CAPEX accounts related to crewing operations.
- Identify discrepancies and take corrective actions as necessary.
Client Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports for clients, detailing budgetary performance.
- Maintain regular communication with external stakeholders and clients to provide updates and address queries.
- Present reports to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Crewing Operations and Crew Accounts.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as vendors and contractors, to manage costs and improve efficiency.
Compliance:
- Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System.
- Ensuring that Crew management is carried out in compliance to the Management Agreements.
- Implement best practices in budgeting, cost controlling and reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree will be considered as an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, or accounting within the maritime or crewing industry.
- Proven experience in passenger & cruise vessels.
- Good leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
