KORRES is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Junior Buyer to join our Team. You will be working in a challenging international environment which embraces continuous learning and growth alongside a dynamic team of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing of designated spend category and implement action items to ensure the efficient management of the category with the coaching & guidance of Senior Buyer or Group Procurement Director
- Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally with the coaching & guidance of Senior Buyer or Group Procurement Director
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
- Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost product/service guarantee and develop "win-win" strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers with the coaching & guidance of Senior Buyer or Group Procurement Director
- Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
- Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers of the specific category including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives with the coaching & guidance of Senior Buyer or Group Procurement Director
- Ensures compliance with procurement processes
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization
- Achieve the annual targets of Procurement function based on agreed KPIs (e.g. Savings)
- Ensure stakeholder engagement for the specific categories
- Support the Group Procurement Director to implement Procurement processes
- Ensure Procurement alignment
- Maintain the data base platform (SAP) for the purchased materials and he/she is responsible for converting PRs into POs onto the company's ERP system (SAP)
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Mechanical Engineer
- Master Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant area is preferable
- Experience in project management
- Experience in change management
- Ability to understand market dynamics and develop/adopt sourcing category strategy
- Negotiation skills
- SAP user
- Previous working experience as a Buyer for 1-3 years in multinational companies
- Previous working experience in Procurement is preferable
- Great communication, interpersonal and networking skills with internal & external stakeholders
