Demand Planner to join our Team. You will be working in a challenging international environment which embraces continuous learning and growth alongside a dynamic team of experienced professionals.
The job description typically includes:
Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for products. Assist in the preparation and analysis of sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to support decision-making processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather information on market trends, promotions, and new product launches that may impact demand.
Data Analysis: Analyze demand patterns, seasonality, and other relevant data to improve forecasting accuracy. Use statistical models and forecasting tools to support predictions.
Forecast Accuracy: Monitor and report on the accuracy of demand forecasts, making adjustments as needed to enhance precision.
Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to align production and purchasing activities with forecasted demand. Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management activities, including ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory requirements relevant to the commercial and operational functions.
Communication: Communicate regularly with various stakeholders, providing updates on demand forecasts, potential issues, and recommended actions. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, such as forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.
Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the demand planning process. Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in the resolution of operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across departments to ensure a seamless flow of information and alignment of demand planning activities with broader business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and logistics, to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations.
The Demand Planner plays a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction by aligning supply with projected demand.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Logistics or a related field
- At least 5 years of working experience in Demand Planning management and/or operational environment, preferably in cosmetics or pharma industry
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 (SAP S/4HANA) and Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English
- Strong understanding of the supply & demand process
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Technical knowledge and understanding of integrated software systems
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
