Job Overview
You will be responsible for implementing new and sophisticated systems as well as managing and maintaining existing ICM Markets critical IT systems. You will be involved in the delivery of IT infrastructure projects, systems administration and support across a broad range of technologies from server, storage, networking, security, audio/visual, as well as cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and administration of the whole IT infrastructure (cloud, storage, server, network and security)
- Maintain systems and infrastructure support ticket queues, ensuring tickets are resolved in a timely manner and SLAs are met
- Educate and cross-train the Systems Administrators in various offices in Australia, Cyprus and other entities on infrastructure, and systems concepts and solutions
- Participate in project delivery to ensure it complies with the design and requirements provided by the CTO, other IT teams or external vendors
- Provide expert and thoughtful advice, and guidance across the whole range of technologies
- Proactively identify weaknesses or issues of existing solutions and provide recommendations for future upgrades
- Ensure all implemented projects and systems are well documented and handed over for proper support and maintenance procedure.
- Ensure our business continuity and disaster recovery plan is up to date, regularly reviewed and well maintained
- Ensure ‘security first’ mindset and best practices are always followed for each implementation and administration
- Assist in the management and maintenance of existing storage, network and server infrastructure
- Carry out advanced troubleshooting and take ownership of technical issues through to resolution. Be an escalation point for all complex or systemic issues
- Mentor and train junior members of the team
- Other IT systems and infrastructure related tasks as required
Requirements
- Sound knowledge in multiple IT infrastructure disciplines such as server virtualisation, information security, storage, networking and cloud technology
- Experience in implementation and testing of multiple integration projects
- Experience in managing complex IT infrastructure systems with multiple office locations and cloud technology stack such as AWS, Azure, MS 365 and Google Workspace
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server core features
- Advanced knowledge of network routing, switching and security such as Cisco, FortiGate, etc
- Advanced knowledge of server virtualisation both on-premise and cloud deployment and administration
- Skills in information security and cloud technology are highly regarded
- Experience in management and development of Information Security Objectives
- Support all systems to ensure security and uptime in line with ISO:27001 objectives
- Promote a culture of security in the team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing and supervising teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role in a medium to large organisation
- Have been extensively involved in several infrastructure related project deliveries, infrastructure upgrades and migrations
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and core Microsoft services (AD, DNS etc), virtualisation, backup systems and replication
- Advanced knowledge with hand-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Azure or other public cloud providers.
- Advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals, routing protocols and LAN/WAN technologies such as switches, firewalls, wireless access points
- Good knowledge of Python, Bash, PowerShell scripting, SQL server, MS 365 and Google Workspace administration
- Comfortable working across a wide variety of systems, with the ability and motivation to deep dive into technical problems
- Experience working with large data sets and file archives
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- IT Certifications in relevant fields are highly regarded (VCP, MCSE, Cisco, AWS)
