Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will take full ownership of our company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all aspects of accounting. You will be responsible for managing and recording financial transactions, overseeing bank accounts, processing payments, and handling cryptocurrency activities. Your role will involve generating financial reports, supporting audits, and performing reconciliations. You will be a crucial individual contributor, directly impacting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organisation.
Job Title – Accountant
You will be responsible for:
- Record and maintain up-to-date financial records, including expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledgers, and journals.
- Regularly monitor bank accounts to ensure accurate record-keeping and report any discrepancies.
- Issue invoices, monitor referral agreements, and handle collections to ensure timely payments from clients.
- Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reviewing, posting transactions, and performing bank reconciliations regularly.
- Prepare and provide necessary documentation for quarterly VAT, VIES submissions, and support management accounts and financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with regulations.
- Daily monitoring of cryptocurrency accounts, including payments and conversions from crypto to fiat currencies.
- Prepare and process payment orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee petty cash, ensuring accurate tracking and reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze daily sales KPI reports to monitor business performance.
- Generate monthly financial reports and ad-hoc reports as required by management.
- Open and close ERGANI for employee registrations and manage payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all financial practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes for greater efficiency.
- Monitor referral agreements and issue related invoices, ensuring proper accounting of all transactions.
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), tax regulations, and cryptocurrencies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
