A global company with offices in the United States, the Netherlands, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong is seeking an
Accountant (Payroll) to join their friendly and dynamic team
in Limassol.
The company provides a Contractor-of-Record service, helping businesses legally hire employees in over 100 countries, including challenging regions. This service is in high demand and is considered socially significant, as it allows companies to expand their hiring reach globally without worrying about misclassification issues. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a meaningful project while contributing to a growing, international team.
This position is open to candidates currently residing in Cyprus. Relocation is not offered.
Your task:
- Overseeing employee lifecycle processes, including hiring, termination, and registration with tax and social authorities
- Managing social contributions such as insurance, healthcare, and taxes
- Tracking and maintaining records of employee and company loans, rent payments, dividends, and other financial transactions
- Preparing and submitting tax returns and related forms (TD1, TD7, TD614, TD603, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with payroll, personal expenses, and any changes in legislation
- Organizing and maintaining employee files, ensuring timely updates and accuracy
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience (payroll experience preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of payroll rules and calculations
- Knowledge of tax allowances, including first employment and BIK accounting (loans, medical/life insurance, rent, etc.)
- Familiarity with "ERGANI" system
- Experience with salary regulations for employees from foreign countries
- English C1+
