We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our fast-paced financial trading firm. This role will involve managing the delivery of company strategic projects within the financial services sector, ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope.
As a key player in the PMO team, you will work closely with all areas of the business across multiple regions to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance our product.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and client needs.
Requirements
What you will be doing:
- End-to-End Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle of strategic projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal stakeholders and senior management, to gather requirements, communicate project updates, and ensure alignment with business goals
- Scope Management: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with senior management. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and track progress against milestones
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively manage issues that may arise and ensure proper resolution
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams (engineering, product, IT operations) to ensure project requirements are fully understood and delivered effectively
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management, including key project metrics, progress reports, risks, and issues
- Agile and Waterfall Methodologies: Use appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) based on project requirements and stakeholder needs
- Vendor Management: If applicable, work with external vendors and third-party providers to ensure successful project delivery
- What we look for in you: Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on delivering technical software projects, ideally within financial services or trading environments
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, particularly within trading or financial platforms. Experience with trading systems is a plus
- Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt based on project needs
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve project issues effectively
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion
- Tools: Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence
