The
Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the company's financial operations. This role involves handling daily payment processing, monthly reconciliations, accounting reporting, and treasury operations while collaborating with multiple teams across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record daily vendor payments, including credit card transactions
- Manage incoming payments, fees, chargebacks, and disputes while executing transfers and withdrawals from credit card transactions
- Ensure smooth treasury operations by preparing payment lists and coordinating approvals
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card and intercompany transactions
- Ensure accurate IFRS16 postings, valuation journal entries, foreign exchange rate valuation, and depreciation schedules
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L reports
- Conduct valuation of cost of goods sold (COGS), stock, and production costs
- Generate AP aging reports and maintain fixed asset schedules
- Assist in cash flow management and intercompany reconciliations
- Support treasury functions and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, treasury, or financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation, financial reporting, and payment processing
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively across different teams and locations
- Fluent English
