The Leasing Manager will be reporting to the Commercial Director, Existing Malls.
Our new colleague in this position will be responsible for all leasing activities associated with the operation of one or more Shopping Centers, meeting the Company’s goals and ensuring maximum sustainability, at a quality and high occupancy rate. The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing financial issues, analyzing financial, retail and real estate data, monitoring leasing plans, forecasting, etc.
In detail, the Leasing Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop and serve the leasing strategy of the Shopping Center, ensuring timely and quality completion of milestones/requirements stated.
- Negotiate with tenants, existing and/or potential, aiming to achieve the desirable outcome.
- Manage leasing contracts and provide input for drafting them.
- Meet the Lease Income Budget.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (i.e. center management, fit-out, contract management team, etc.).
- Monitor tenants’ sales performance and consult them in order to optimize performance.
- Overview of the retail developments and conditions at a regional and international level.
- Preserve and develop the landlord’s relationship with existing and potential tenants.
- Maintain and monitor a network of contacts, especially with international retail players.
- Look after promising start-uppers with trendy and ‘fresh’ concepts.
- Monitor and analyze new trends and innovative retail models/concepts.
- Analyze success stories and examples to be avoided.
- Maintain and monitor business relationships with competitors.
- Participate in selective Industry Associations, events.
- Contribute to the Bank Guarantees’ handling.
- Ensure that accurate and timely information is available for management reporting or other purposes.
You will be a successful candidate for our job opening, if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Property Development or in a relevant area of study, ideally combined with an MSc or MBA.
- Appropriate certifications and industry affiliations relevant to education and experience will be considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal Greek and English.
Professional Experience:
- Above 5 years of relevant professional experience in the Real Estate/Retail industry, with in-depth knowledge of the current Retail Market and submarket conditions. (Candidates with a professional experience in Shopping Center/Retail related industry will be preferred)
- Experience in working with PR and Marketing agencies in preparing marketing material, as well as with Center Management and Architects for better understanding and contribution to the Operations and stores’ fitting-out process
- Experience in working with real estate agents and other third-party lead generators to target retail market sources
