Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the leading hotel chain in Greece, is seeking a Hotel Sales Manager to join its team. As a Hotel Sales Manager, you will promote the Hotel, develop partnerships and chase new ones. You will ensure that promotional coverage, commercial and marketing opportunities are achieved. You will also participate in the preparation of the Revenue and Marketing Budget for the hotel and work closely with Sales & Marketing to develop strategies to maximize visibility and Brand Awareness and grow the market share taken care of by following the company's SOPs. Responsibilities
- Representing the Resort to various Exhibitions, business meetings maintaining existing contacts and developing new partnerships.
- Organizes and attends Sales Calls in coordination with Grecotel Sales Department
- Works with Grecotel sales department and management team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for each segment
- Follow and track company cross-sell procedures. Targets to Upselling and Cross selling increase
- Assist with the development and implementation of packaging and promotions, both internal and external
- Updating and owning the sales strategy & marketing plan with the Hotel General Manager in collaboration with Grecotel Sales Managers
- Close cooperation with retailers of all source markets.
- Focuses on various market segments according to Hotel's orientation
- Hosts / attends, educational / inspection visits , in the resort. Follow ups and evaluates agreed actions.
- Leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives.
- Participates in sales calls with members of sales & marketing team to acquire new business and/or close on business
- Oversee and ensure the update of web content and presentation on hotel website, OTA's (Online travel agents), TOs, GDS etc.
- Monitors competition and reflects to Hotel Revenue and Sales strategy
- Prepares and proposes Marketing Budget for the Hotel.
- Participates in preparation of the Hotel Revenue Budget
- Participates and assists in region's resorts efforts to meet or exceed budgeted goals
- Keeps personal contact with high end clients and Travel Agents among all markets in the resorts and carries follow ups after departure.
- Keeps and updates B2B & B2C database and ensures its correctness
- Maintain and promote a team work environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers keeping up with company's standards
- Participates in Product meetings when necessary
- Participates in Hotel meetings
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience within the hotel or hospitality industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and hotel management systems
- Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
