The production site in Sindos produces crop protection products for Agricultural Solutions business. With multiple filling lines for fungicides, insecticides and rodenticides and a distribution warehouse, the site serves the special requirements of our markets in Greece and neighbouring countries. The site is complemented by external tolling operations for further crop protection and seeds products

Ensure EHS and Quality compliance across the site and in all aspects of the business
Ensure a safe working environment where all legal and company's EHS requirements are understood, managed, and complied with consistently.
Ensure quality standards are implemented and maintained, to meet customer expectations and the needs of the business
Lead the emergency response team and incident investigations
Effectively manage the day-to-day site operation
Identify the needs and assure the timely employment of production personnel
Steer the maintenance and define engineering projects to ensure adequate operating conditions of the site
Steer the warehouse operation for distribution into the local markets
Plan and manage site budgets
Meet the financial targets of the business, including capital and fixed costs, ensuring cost competitiveness and high operational and manufacturing efficiency
Drive operational excellence across all site processes, using lean management concepts, automation, and digital processes
Act as Contract Manufacturing Manager for Greece
Ensure EHS, quality and commercial compliance of contract manufacturing operations for local refilling
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Build a strong network of business partners and service providers
Ensure the availability of qualified seasonal contract workers for the site
Maintain positive relations with associations, regulators and the local community
Collaborate closely with all functions of the Agricultural Solutions business, as well as with Regulatory and Supply chain teams at both local and regional level.
Requirements
- Educated to university degree level or equivalent in a chemistry or engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of leading a manufacturing site, and delivering against demanding EHS, production, efficiency and financial targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Very good language skills in Greek and English (business fluent in speaking and writing)
- Understanding of relevant chemical regulations (e.g. agrochemicals, REACH, CLP)
