We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accounting to lead our accounting department. This role involves overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing payroll, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to improve financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow and bank transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.
- Supervise payroll processing, including social insurance and tax deductions.
- Review and approve supplier payments and reconciliations.
- Oversee petty cash and store accounting transactions.
- Manage debtors, follow up on outstanding balances, and ensure timely collections.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax filings, and other statutory reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with financial policies.
- Supervise and support the accounting team.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or ACCA certification.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably in a leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software and financial systems.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work under deadlines.
