The Opportunity:
The role of Security Engineer has been created to complement our growing Cyber Security team by working closely with our engineering teams (IT, Infrastructure, DevOps and R&D) to design, implement and maintain security measures on our networks, servers and cloud infrastructures.
What you will do:
- Manage (assess, recommend and implement) Cloud and On-Prem infrastructure security enhancements
- Manage and optimise our detect and response tooling.
- Manage and optimise our vulnerability scanning tooling.
- Manage and monitor our security appliances (eg: IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Cloud security apps)
- Assist the Security Operations team in incident management (identify, contain, eradicate, recover)
- Integrate with IT, DevOps and Development projects to ensure security considerations are surfaced and managed.
Who you are:
- Network experience (Data Centre, LAN, WAN)
- Cloud and on-prem infrastructure security standards experience (eg: ISO, NIST, CIS, CSTAR)
- Experience with cloud adoption, cloud security and management (ideally Azure and office 365)
- Experience with security appliances/ technologies (IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, HIDS, EDR/XDR, Application Control)
- Server and virtualization experience
- Knowledge and experience of IAM principles (managing and/ or implementing)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and management
- Confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Flexible, enthusiastic and displays a positive attitude
