Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Industry: FX / Financial Services
Salary: Up to €3,000 x 13 months
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant in Limassol Municipality. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage payments, including vendor invoices, payroll, and other operational expenses.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts regularly.
- Collaborate with the compliance and finance teams to ensure proper financial reporting in line with FX industry standards.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Handle ad hoc financial tasks and provide support during audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with previous experience in the FX or financial services industry being an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
