Energy Market Analyst
Energy Market Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting energy market data, developing analytical tools, and providing insights to support decision-making related to Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and RES/BESS aggregation. This role involves evaluating market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors to optimize market strategies and enhance market value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive analysis of energy markets indices, including wholesale electricity, PPAs, renewable energy and storage sectors
- Analyzes and interprets complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the energy market
- Evaluates the impact of energy policies and regulations on PPA strategies and market dynamics
- Prepares detailed reports and presentations for management, highlighting findings and recommendations
- Works closely with internal teams, clients and industry stakeholders to gather information and provides insights
- Develops and maintains analytical and computational tools to support market analysis and decision-making
- Assists in the development and implementation of energy projects and initiatives
- Stays updated with the latest energy trends, technologies, and regulatory issues, and shares knowledge with the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in energy market analysis
- Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, SQL, Python etc.) is required
- Professional knowledge of English, both oral and written.
