Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at Monitoreal located in Larnaca Municipality. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial data, resolving discrepancies, tracking inventory, and supporting budgeting processes within the company.
Responsibilities
- Processing records with our accounting software preferably Quickbooks/ODOO and related MRP/ERP;
- Ensuring smooth running of the accounts and financial reporting functions;
- Ensuring preparation of all financial accounting responsibilities and deliverables;
- Ensuring maintenance of proper books of accounts under Cyprus legislation;
- Ensuring preparation of annual financial statements per international accounting standards and Cyprus law;
- Ensuring preparation of annual tax returns (IR7, IR63, IR59 etc.);
- Ensuring timely and correct VAT/VIES tax reporting;
- Payroll records;
- Invoicing customers.
Qualifications
- A holder of a University Degree in Accounting or Finance;
- At least 5 years of previous accounting experience;
- Business mindset, awareness and understanding of financial transactions;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel or LibreOffice or similar Mac OS software;
- Fluent in Greek and English both verbal and written;
- Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills;
- Experience with accounting software preferably Quickbooks and related international MRP/ERP solutions;
- Manufacturing accounting experience will be considered an advantage.
