Position Description: MYP Coordinator

Trinity Private International School is seeking an experienced and driven professional to join us as an MYP Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation and development of the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) at our school. Located in Limassol, Cyprus, our school serves a community of 410 students and has a team of up to 60 staff members dedicated to creating a high-quality, supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. School Operations Management:
The MYP Coordinator will oversee and manage educational and administrative processes, ensuring they meet international standards and create optimal learning and development conditions for our students.
2. MYP Program Implementation and School Authorization:
A primary responsibility of this role will be to lead the school’s successful authorization as an IB MYP institution. This includes preparing all necessary documentation, coordinating interactions with IB representatives, and organizing internal teacher training to ensure full compliance with IB standards. Achieving authorization is a critical goal for our school, as it underpins our commitment to international educational standards.
3. Team Management:
The MYP Coordinator will manage a team of up to 60 staff members, handling recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and motivation. You will be responsible for creating an inspiring work environment where each team member understands their vital role in the successful implementation of the MYP and adherence to IB standards.
4. Educational Process Organization and Oversight:
Duties include managing class schedules, distributing teaching responsibilities, and monitoring student progress to maintain a high-quality learning environment and holistic student development.
5. Methodological Support and Development:
This role involves organizing and overseeing the development of teaching materials, conducting regular training sessions for staff, and ensuring that teaching quality aligns with IB expectations.
6. Parent Club Organization:
To enhance the relationship between school, students, and families, the MYP Coordinator will oversee the organization of a Parent Club, facilitating a supportive space for communication and involvement in the educational process.
Requirements:
- Relevant Experience: Significant experience in a school leadership role (Director, Deputy Director, or MYP Coordinator) with a proven record of successfully managing the IB MYP authorization process.
- Team Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage a team of 20 or more staff.
- Fluent English Proficiency: A high level of English proficiency is essential for effective communication in our international setting.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for building trust, managing conflicts, and motivating the team.
