Our team consists of seasoned Finance and Real Estate professionals dedicated in identifying opportunities aligned with the Company’s mission in the local market and beyond. We are looking to hire an experienced and dynamic Accountant to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate should exhibit a positive “can-do” attitude, be able to work independently whilst collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability and willingness to take on ownership of accounting tasks along with an enthusiasm and initiative to learn and develop under the guidance of the senior members of the department.
Job Location: Nicosia & Limassol - the training will be done in Limassol and after the completion of the training period (3-6 months) the successful candidate will be eligible to working 3 days from Nicosia Office or Remotely and 2 days from Limassol Office.
Job Description:
- Maintain proper accounting records
- Execution of the month-end accounting closure process (i.e. depreciation, accruals, revenue, payroll, etc.) by reviewing the general ledger and performing adjusting entries
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation and submission of VAT and tax returns
- Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation and submission of financial statements and other reports required for regulatory / statutory reporting
- Liaise with external auditors in providing relevant information for the annual audit
- Support the department with projects on process automation
Person Specification:
- Holder of a University Degree in Accounting & Finance or a related field
- At least 3 years of previous relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of Excel is a must
- Holder of the LCCI Accounting Certification – will be considered as a plus
- Knowledge of an accounting ERP – SAP will be considered as a plus
- Excellent use of the English language
- Ability to prioritize and cope in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and motivation to produce excellent results
